Frequently asked questions
What does Slop Audit audit?
It checks one public URL for access, headers, metadata, crawler files, links, mobile and desktop layout, accessibility signals, page copy, trust information, and machine-readable data. The report separates measured checks from estimates.
Is this a real scan or a sample report?
A submitted URL starts a live scan. The audit runs page, browser, content, and score checks. The example report is labeled clearly and is not a scan of your URL.
How are the scores calculated?
Production Readiness is a score from four groups of checks. Higher is better. Slop Risk is a separate score for generic or unfinished page patterns. Lower is better. Each finding shows the result, points, evidence, and fix.
Does Slop Risk detect who wrote a page?
No. Slop Risk does not identify the author or prove that AI made a page. It reports visible patterns such as generic copy, weak proof, template-like visuals, or unfinished parts.
What happens when a check cannot run?
The report labels the check as not tested. It shows coverage and confidence separately. A missing measurement is not counted as zero.
Do I need to provide credentials?
No. Submit a public URL only. Slop Audit does not request passwords, bypass access controls, crawl private APIs, or check pages that require a login.
What is included in the report?
You get Production Readiness, Slop Risk, category scores, coverage, confidence, required checks, prioritized findings, evidence, Agent View, browser screenshots when available, fixes, and a downloadable report.
How long are reports and screenshots kept?
Storage time depends on the scan, workspace, and file type. Expired reports and files are removed on a schedule. Unlisted share links expire. Do not submit secrets or personal data you do not want processed.
Is Slop Audit free?
Slop Audit is free during early access. Signed-in users can save projects, set one monitoring schedule, and create one CI token per project within the limits on the free plan page.
How do I get help?
Read the Blog and FAQ first. If you still need help, email team@slopaudit.dev with the report URL or request ID. Do not include passwords, API keys, or private page content.
